I highly recommend “Damsels in Distress” if you are a fan of literate, intellectual films. It was worth nearly 15 years between films for Whit Stillman to be able to have Greta Gerwig as his lead. She masters the dialogue and holds court beautifully in the film. Certainly, Damsels is a step up from Studio 64 and worthy of being in the same breath as Barcelona and Metropolitan.
